There are several good reasons for the application:

  1. There are no two identical businesses out there. We are not selling a mass service and want to understand our customers, their problems and their needs. We invest upfront our time and money to learn how to best serve you.
  2. We do a technical audit of your website and get a feel for the topics you might need to promote (lastly, it’s your decision, but we can help with our expertise).
  3. The application process gives us the foundation for our onboarding call, without you having to make any commitment. We just don’t see the point in going unprepared in that call.
  4. Last but not least, it helps us manage your expectations, especially in regard to our 90-day guarantee. If you expect to rank for really hard topics in the first three months, we’d rather not take your money than disappoint you. But we might be able to show you an alternative path to reach your goal.

The reason we have this unique guarantee in the marketing space is to give you peace of mind, knowing your investment in Holistic Campaigns is going to push the needle and bring you closer to your business goals.

You can distribute the remaining campaigns in your package between several (sub)domains, given that every added domain can benefit from at least 3 (three) Holistic Campaigns over the initial 90 days.

Here are some examples:

  • You buy the Platinum Package (24x) and promote 8 domains right from the start. Every domain gets the minimum 3 Holistic Campaigns allocated. If we fail to fulfill the guarantee for one domain, you are entitled to a return of the cost for the 3 campaigns allocated.
  • You buy the Platinum Package (24x) and promote 4 domains right from the start. Every domain gets 6 Holistic Campaigns allocated. If we fail to fulfill the guarantee for one domain, you are entitled to a return of the cost for the 6 campaigns allocated.
  • You buy the Gold Package (12x) and promote your main domain for four months. We fulfill the 90-day guarantee and all are happy. Then you want to promote two new domains. Since there are 8 campaigns left in the package, this would mean the new domains get 3 campaigns each, while the initial domain gets two campaigns.

We document all changes to the package per email and ask for your approval before starting any action, so you are always in the know.

 

There are two ways to configure Holistic Campaigns for local businesses (or any marketing campaign, that is):

  • By topic
  • By localization

Let’s assume you are a Toyota car dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. The main topic is “Toyota dealer Cleveland, Ohio”, which has a medium difficulty. We use LSI and NLP techniques to expand the topic, so every Holistic Campaign is slightly different, but the results are stacking upon each other. We would recommend going with one Holistic Campaign per month, ideally for at least 12 months.

Now let’s assume you are a Ford dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. The main topic would be “Ford dealer Cleveland, Ohio”, which has a much higher difficulty/competition. We would recommend going with two Holistic Campaigns in the first 6-12 months, targeting subtopics like “Ford Escape in Cleveland, Ohio” or “Ford Bronco in Cleveland, Ohio” and so on (start with those models where you earn most), then continuing with one per month for at least 6-12 more months. Additionally, you could target the same topics but with a narrower localization, like “Ford Bronco in Glenville, Cleveland” and neighborhoods of your company’s place.

Now let’s assume you are also active with the same (or another) brand in Cincinnati, Ohio too. We expect comparable difficulty/competition there. This would double the needed campaigns, as the main topics also double. If you targeted Akron instead of Cincinnati, the difficulty/competition would be lower, so you would reach dominance of your market with fewer Holistic Campaigns.

If still unsure, you could start with only one brand and one or both locations and see the exact effect of the Holistic Campaigns over the first three months, then start promoting the second brand too.

As described above, when competition is very high, it makes more sense to address subtopics, which stack upon each other and with time allow you to dominate entire niches and/or areas.

It’s simple: We never take customers for the same combination of topic + localization, as we feel it would be unethical. That said, for the localization part we consider a “fair limit” of population targeted of 500,000. In larger cities or metro areas, we would accept more customers, each targeting different urban areas, up to one per 500,000 people in that area (according to the newest statistical data published under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_statistical_area).

Looking at the examples above, if we already had a customer for the topic “Ford dealer Glenville, Cleveland, Ohio”, we would refuse any other Ford dealer in that city area. We could take a Ford dealer in another area like St. Clair – Superior or Buckeye – Shaker and also a dealer of a different brand in Glenville, Cleveland, Ohio.

In the greater Cleveland metropolitan area with its population of 2,158,932 we could take up to four customers for the same topic, but different local areas.
